Pekota Lounger

Pekota City Lounger

Pekota City Lounger, is one of the first chairs I worked on from start to finish, the slung leather is the defining feature of the design!

I created the Solidworks CAD based off grid paper pencil drawings, and prototyped the Lounger from the CNC cold rolled steel parts to make the wood pieces for the production version. I created the final Buffalo leather template, hole patterns and multiple jigs for the 3 wood pieces including the backrest.

To fulfill orders I also lead training of colleagues for Lounger’s specific method of production.

Mark 3 Chair

Contributed to CAD design revisions that fixed the front legs and prototyped the assembly for production, as well as created jigs for the wood backrest. Rendered many shots such as this for marketing and photography for social media.

SWITCH Stools

Designed to encourage playful customization, these stools had interchangeable parts to create a unique statement. Additionally, a wood seat could be added as well in Birch, Maple or Walnut.

Custom White PK10 Table

This piece involved a lot of extra care and steps to prep the steel for powder-coating. The white top surface was thin sheet metal but handling it was large, quite heavy and we had to avoid any bending or kinking of the surface which would show when flat and glossy.

It was bonded with contact cement carefully, edges lined up perfect as I used router to trim to match the edge precisely. Extra steel bracing was applied to bottom of table to prevent deflection from it’s own weight.

Custom FERRA Wall Unit

This set of images below show a Ferra set of three columns fitted precisely to create continuous wall entertainment unit for audio and TV with style.

The center mounted shelves have set screw adjustment to fine tune alignment angles, so the end result is consistent crisp visual lines across the board.

I made all the jigs for the Ferra line and the woodworking for this particular installation.
